The NLR1845WS by Xylem

The NLR1845WS is without doubt one of the most popular UV lamps used in the UK domestic market at the moment. This has come about for many reasons but one is due to a number of company acquisitions by Wedeco in the early 2000's. A lot of the more prominent UK water treatment suppliers were selling the Aquada 2 and Aquada 4 systems as their first choice UV unit. Revised environmental health guidelines combined with the Aquada being a very reliable range meant that their market penetration was excellent. It's not uncommon to still see the older systems still working today. 

They're a 40W bulb (254nm UV-C) and come in at 525mm long. They work at full effectiveness in ambient temperatures of 0-32°C and have a life of 1 year (around 9000 hours).
