Because of the appalling decision of the Russian Government to invade Ukraine, and the consequences of this profoundly disturbing action, we are announcing that with immediate effect, we're committing to refuse all dealings with suppliers and commercial customers in Russia and we strongly condemn the actions of Vladimir Putin and the Russian government.

We don't get involved in water treatment for aquariums and ponds but we get asked about it quite a lot. Where we differ is that the fish keeping industry, regardless of people take it very seriously, doesn't have any kind of legislation connected to it. Most of the time our UV equipment is used on systems with the purpose of treating drinking water. That means there are some big differences in what we do. For example, you will often see UV systems for ponds made out of plastic. Because UV can cause leeching of questionably carcinogenic by-products in plastics, you will find the type of units we sell are only made of stainless steel (304 or 316). You'll see that we use the word Philosophy more than the average company. When Rhinotech Systems was founded, it was a decision that was made with ideas and feelings first. The water treatment industry has always been a bit removed from traditional buying landscape. There's nothing glamourous about anything we sell and as such, there's a certain mundane attitude that comes with both selling and buying of such functional pieces of equipment. If something works and you need it then the basics of a trading relationship is established but nothing else.
